I'm on Indeed and a few other job sites, but nearly all the jobs I'm qualified for such as retail and IT/admin are full time! Due to personal circumstances I can't work 40 hours a week.

I applied for a 10 hour job in a shop called Fan Cave in Meadowhall yesterday, I know it said on the website that the "entries" don't close till late August but they still haven't even acknowledged my application yet, however I probably won't even get an interview due to my age and fact I did what I always do and declared my disability.

I wouldn't mind but direct discrimination's allegedly ILLEGAL under the Equality Act 2010 (which wants ripping up/rewriting IMO, in its current form it's unenforceable)

Can anyone help? I'd rather not get back involved with the job centre, and I am aware of Google.

I dont know of any possible places but i do want to say best of luck trying to get something. I wouldnt even take the fact that they dont acknowledge applications personally because assuming you are applying through Indeed I am convinced that the site is not fit for purpose. You get ghosted left right and centre even though many places are "urgently hiring". All Im saying is be careful man, also I would research companies before applying to see what reasonable adjustments they offer or if they even do anything to assist employees with disabilities. Just stuff like that y'know. I think you would rather want to know beforehand if they are accommodating rather than getting hired then finding out on the spot they toxic as hell.

I know its not directly answering your question but since Im now gonna have to decide if I want to disclose my autism for future job searches I thought I would give you some advice I would give myself.

It's up to you but I personally wouldn't disclose Autism unless you absolutely have to.

I do nearly every time, and consequently I get rejected despite the illegality of discrimination under the EA.
