Have some feedback about the con this year. Whilst it was great in many aspects, I feel as if it did not hit the same mark as it did last year. I felt as if this year it was far too crowded. There were points where you could just not navigate the halls at all as there were too many people. I also noticed some parents bringing buggies into the halls, and that took up far too much space too.
I also felt the artists did not have anytime to shine on their own as they were crammed into the same room as the panels and screenings. I felt like I hardly got to view their booths as it was always too crowded. Speaking of overcrowding I honestly think the main stage would benefit being in a seperate room away from the exhibitors. The reason I think this as during events like the raffle and masquerade it becomes far too cramped. As there is not enough chairs everyone crowds around and can begin to block exits, this I found quite unpleasent trying to leave early as you felt like you could hardly move.

I also believe now having experienced all the guests and whilst some were great, it almost feels like we were given the scraps compared to the amazing guests other cons recieved. I hardly stayed around for the main stage as it was either far too loud music or just not interesting talks at all.

The last criticism I have is due to the venue itself, as the pools have recently opened back up, it just reeked of chlorine the whole day. I felt as it you could smell it in every room you were in, I had to even escort my friend outside for around 2 to 3 hours as the smell was making her quite sick and dizzy.

Whilst the event was great I do think some areas could benefit being in their own rooms, guest could have been better and overall could have been in a bigger venue. At this point in time I am unsure if I will attend next year as it was more stressful navigating the crowds than being able to have fun looking at the exhibitors and artists.

Hey Anime Con organisers,

This was my first visit to Anime Con although my daughter has been a regular visitor every year for the last few years.

What I loved most about the event was all the amazing costume efforts made by fellow attendees, seeing them all dressed up as their fav characters & then my daughter educating me as to who they where dressed as was a lovely experience for us.

I also enjoyed speaking to vendors it was so nice speaking with them & feeling how passionate they are about what they do.

I do feel like separate halls could have been used for separate things. When trying to look at merch at some of the stalls it really was just too crowded. That is just in my humble opinion. I would assume we will be back next year it really is my daughters choice.

Thank you 🥰

I came with my friend as we were interested in the fighting game tournaments. The tournament organisers (TO) was stretched to thin and some tournaments were run hours later than claimed on the timetable and therefore had less time to play before other tournaments. The tournament were ran as best of one winner stays on this means if someone goes first wins 5 matches in a row then loses the last match due to bad luck or match up. They are out and the other wins the tournament. I ask the TO to set up super smash brothers as it was the only fighting not already set up for warm up and practice games and was told soon . I left and came back multiple times and it was never set up until a few minutes before the tournament was supposed to start. We were informed that the games wouldn’t be one on one tournament but free for all as they didn’t have the time even though on the timetable it states multiple heats but now there’s no time .Then the only switch console that was in the room was out of power and hadn’t been charged so we had to wait until it was charged. Then multiple other’s problems showed as they couldn’t get controllers to work a problem that could have been sorted sooner if they tried to set up earlier but after several minutes of chaos the only solution was each person uses a half of a switch controller to play. This was the point that my friend and I left. There was other things we wanted to do or see such as the geek quiz but were annoyed that one of the main reasons to come here was ruined and afraid of wasting more time waiting to be disappointed by the shambles that was the tournaments.
Downstairs was fine I enjoyed looking at figures and stalls

would absolutely love if it was possible to make the cosplay masquerade a little earlier in the schedule, maybe just an hour early - but that’s all I’d like to ask, great again this year just like last year!
