Hey all, thinking of taking the kids to Animecon UK in Birmingham in June.  Has anyone here been before, if so whats it like?  Worth a trip from Essex? Ta

How old are the kids? Some anime's not very kiddy unfortunately, although I'm sure they'll like the costumes.

They are 15 and 9, I've taken them to Animeleague cons just wondered how this one compared :)

from what I’ve read it’s their first time running it so people are a bit wary because it’s a big venue for a first time event

I must say that the quantity of cons is really ramping up this year.

Yeah I'm doing 2 next month, Doncaster on the 14th, Elsecar on the 21st.

And then nothing till the AL one at the Mercure Hotel in Town in September.
