Probably not.
I did used to stay up NYE but only because my late Nan used to insist on it, and we sang the "Auld Lang Syne" song, in fact the last time I did was 1999, but that was only to check that my PC still worked as they were hyping the "Y2K Bug" (which was a total sales gimmick designed by the likes of PC World to get everybody to buy a new "Y2K proof" PC for Christmas that year)
