I am reliably informed that Royal Mail are on strike the rest of this week and most of next week.

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

My employer is losing business to a rising number of competitors. They are making efforts to cut costs, and are having to raise the pricing on their services, and how do I help to ensure that I have continuing employment?

I know, I'll go on strike for more money!

Royal Mail has its faults, but at least if you miss a delivery with them they leave a note, I was supposed to get a delivery from Evri an hour ago, nobody's knocked on the door yet and I've specifically turned the telly down to listen out for the door bell.

Well guess what? Evri bloke's been just now with the delivery!

I got fed up with waiting for Hermes, and then Evri deliveries.

Whenever I see that it is an Evri delivery, I opt for the free Click & Collect via Argos. Then I just collect it when I do my other shopping.

Shopping at Argos is a bit of a pain for me though unless I do it online and get it delivered, the closest Argos for me's the one in Town near the Theatres, or the one in Sainsbury's down the Moor (just above Atkinsons) seeing as they closed the Angel St one last year (I can remember when that was the old ABC Cinema back in the early 80s, yes, I am that old even though I probably don't look it)
