Other than GIMP, does anyone know of a Photoshop equivalent that works on Chrome OS or Ubuntu?

Above.

I need a good photo editing app for Chrome OS or Ubuntu (Linux)

I've used GIMP before and it's pretty similar to Photoshop, I just suck at using it.

I'm aware of Google, but can anyone help?

I don't beee-lieve it!

I'm sure this topic will be ignored because nobody knows what I'm even on about, however, I've found an app on the Ubuntu Store called Pencilsheep, which is certified "safe" by Ubuntu admins, I've emailed my Brother, who's in charge of installing stuff on my box, about it, and also GOG Galaxy, loads of old Windows based games that work on an emulator called WINE.
I don't beee-lieve it!

I used to use GIMP for my GFX attempts, so I know what you are talking about, but that was a while ago. I don't know of any newer apps though. Let me talk to my son when he gets home from Uni.

Maybe paint.net

It's older. I used to make simple sigs and banners. I'm not sure how technical you want but it did layers and that was good for me. I would do easier extractions as well.

I thought there was Linux and Mac as well. Must be confusing it with something else.

Ubuntu IS Linux.

I found Pencilsheep on the Ubuntu Store last week that's virtually the same thing as I need, my Brother says he'll install it and a ton of OS and browser updates next time he comes up.
