I've been battling their call centre since this morning trying to add my new main Bank card to my Paypal account, I definitely put the right long number, expiry date and security number in, and even though I tried it about 3 times it keeps saying "verification failed", anyway after an annoying phone conversation, they eventually told me that other customers have reported the exact same issue, and that it's caused by a system update at their end and I'm to expect an email when the update is complete!

Well I've been checking my main Gmail account all day, no such email.

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

I don't use Paypal as such, so I can't help you with that, and I don't "store" my card details with any retailer.

Have you deleted the details of the old card? Sometimes you can only register 1 card at a time, and will have to remove one before you register another.

I have 2 other cards registered on there, one of which was cut up at the Bank last week, however I can't remove it as it's tied to a few game preorders on Amazon and Game, most of which I actually cancelled last week though.

OK. Just have to wait then.

Er. Won't you have a problem when those orders are filled? Your card details won't be valid when they go to take the money.

Yeah but I cancelled all the orders last week, because I knew that would be a problem.
