It appears that The Master will lead an alliance of the Doctor's greatest enemies, and indeed the trailer features both Daleks and Cybermen. The Master appears to want to erase the Doctor from the timestream, and it's possible his meddling with the Doctor's personal timeline explains why Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor looks set to degenerate back into David Tennant.

One shot, for example, shows the Doctor Who equivalent of the Death Star shooting a superlaser at the Earth; it's accompanied by the sound effect of a Dalek weapon, confirming this is a Dalek attack. It's likely this superweapon is a converted planet; in the 1964 story The Dalek Invasion of Earth, the Daleks attempted to convert the Earth into a mobile battlestation, but they were stopped by the Doctor. It seems they have converted a different world instead.

I thought the next Doctor was going to be Ncuti Ngawa, who's been in some crap drama series on Netflix? More to the point, for some reason, Whovians have spent most of the last nearly 3 years moaning about Jodie Whittaker being Doctor Who purely because she's female.

Eh?

Apparently, that comes after this. They haven't started filming his first series yet, but have started writing for a second series so they seem seriuos about keeping him on the books.

Even though the right have been complaining about the sheer concept of a black guy playing Doctor Who? It was bad enough people moaned about Jodie Whittaker purely because she's a woman... Smh.
