The first three sections of the park are due to open in November. The remaining two sections will follow in the next two years.
The Ghibli Grand Warehouse (Ghibli no Daisōko), Hill of Youth (Seishun no Oka), and Dondoko Forest (Dondoko Mori) are all due to open November 1st. Mononoke Village (Mononoke no Sato, inspired by Princess Mononke) will follow late in 2023, and Witch Valley (Majo no Tani, inspired by Kiki's Delivery Service) is scheduled for 2024.
A short, silent trailer video featuring the Grand Warehouse has been streaming.
As seen in the video above, Ghibli's Grand Warehouse also features sets recreating a scene from each of 13 different Ghibli films, such as the appearance of No-Face from Spirited Away. In addition, the area has sets recreating dining scenes in Ghibli films as well as a display of posters, books, and other materials from the release of Ghibli films throughout the world. Finally, the area has a store offering original goods themed around every Ghibli work and a cafe where guests can taste the castella Siberia cake seen in The Wind Rises.
