RIP Queen Elizabeth II

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
"The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."

Sad day. Our thoughts are with her family. It's never easy to lose a parent.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

I'm not the biggest fan of the royal family, but I thought the Queen was precious and wanted her to live forever.

What gets me is that since the Queen died a week last Thursday ago, all the anti-Monarchy clowns have come out saying it should be abolished! Never gonna happen.

"I am speaking UK English in a Sheffield accent!" (Me most of the time I'm on the landline or mobile)

RIP Queen Elizabeth II

On Saturday I was absolutely disgusted by some old dude complaining that most of the shops and stuff will close because of the funeral. I recognise him from being a regular at a pub i used to work at so I know he was only bothered about not being able to have his daily pint
Luckily someone piped up saying that we should all show our respect which i totally agree.

I watched the funeral today and as sad as it was, it was a great opportunity to reflect all of the Queen's great efforts she has done for us. She sworn to fulfil her duty for the people back when she was aged 21 and she did just that and for all that time too. She will be a monarch to remember greatly.

I do think that we should show our respect for the Queen. Yes, was it a little inconvenient shops closed, however, it is a event that won't happen often and at the end of the day a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has died and we should show our respects for the family involved.

She may be someone people think didn't interact with the public a lot, but she did engage with a lot of people, hearing stories on tv, the radio and just personal experience as well. I knew a friend back in school who used to go to Windsor all the time.

It is sad when politics comes into play, everyone has an opinion, but we should respect each other anyway and the different opinions we give :)
