New trailer.

The first teaser set up the sequel's duel between John Wick and a new assassin played by Donnie Yen. John Wick 4 also features the returns of Ian McShane as Winston and Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King.

This new trailer details more of the sequel's story where John Wick goes on a mission to fight for his freedom by defeating the Marquit de Gramont, who is the leader of The High Table, and apparently holds the key to John's eventual freedom.

Keanu Reeves credits anime and Japanese filmmaking as a major influence in the new film.

When interviewed by CBR, Reeves said...

"Japanese anime and Japanese filmmaking have definitely been something I’ve loved and have been influenced by. And bushido is definitely a theme in our film – you know, the code of the samurai – so, from the outside, it feels like a great fit, the idea of honour and sacrifice. There’s definitely a strong Japanese influence."

The film has been delayed multiple times thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but is finally set to release on March 24 and promises to feature Wick taking on the High Table. Wick will be continuing his crusade to find a way to retirement, even if it means killing the most skilled assassins in the world. Unfortunately, as it can be difficult to trust anyone in Wick's world.
