Hi I’m attending anime London novatel in feb on Saturday for first time ever taking my nephew who loves anime so supporting him. At age of 16 his wear the whole outfit but I’m not wearing any outfit just want to know what everyone else is doing and what it’s like and if any more newbies and how does everyone normally meet up and make new friends to try get involved and learns and if anyone experience taking a family member for first time dressed S a trap as they say

Sadly, there was a "Big Geek Meet" on the 15th as a warm up for LAGC, where you and your nephew could have met up with some of the people who were planning to go.
The event has it's own webpage at https://winter.londonanimecon.com/ where you can keep up to date with traders and guests. You should be able to download a timetable of events, or pick one up from the information desk when you arrive.
Also, you can check out the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/londonanimecon
There will be many people there not in cosplay, so you shouldn't feel out of place. Your nephew will also find many kindred souls in full cosplay be they traps or not.
Unfortunately, I won't be coming down to London as I have other commitments, but all the event staff will be only to happy to help you with any questions you might have, and should be easy to spot.
Above all, I hope the pair of you have tons of fun listening to the guests and performers, shopping the booths stuffed with anime and gaming merch, and maybe taking part in some of the "Just for fun" events or the more serious competitions.

To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

I’ll be at LAGC this February and I’m casualing it this time. I haven’t really had time to put a cosplay together and I’m kinda funny about using the same cosplay twice. I like to have a different one each time.
As for meeting people, the recent big geek meet would have been a good place to start but posts like this often attract the attention of people that are going to the con and are looking for people to hang out with. Might I suggest maybe popping a post in Entrance lounge saying that your going and that your looking for like minded people.
Anywho, my name badge will have Elgood81 on it and I mostly hang out by merch and stage so if you spot me come and say hi.

By the way, I was supposed to be there, too. I bought the tickets yyc deals. But I couldn't fly out. Because there was a quarantine in my city. So I had to stay home. But I really hope that I can fly there this summer instead. Wherever I want. Like Spain. Or maybe you could tell me. Maybe somewhere the same thing will happen. Only in a different country.
