How to Set Up Twitch & OBS

Become a AL Streamer by filling out the form HERE. While you wait to be scheduled for orientation please review and follow the basic set-up instructions in this guide; this must be completed before you can go through orientation. These steps will ensure you to have all the necessary components to become a AL Streamer.
After passing the orientation, you will be granted access to the Radio Council where you find resources on how to improve as a DJ. This includes how to host Skype calls on air, how to increase your audience numbers and advanced technical information.

1. Make sure you have OBS installed. Available here free of charge: https://obsproject.com/download
2. Download the VLC, and install. Please download from AL's server here: https://get.videolan.org/vlc/3.0.10/win ... -win64.exe
This will help with playlists and videos etc..
3. Open up Winamp, if it doesn't automatically prompt you to sign into Twitch go to "Settings", "Connect Twitch Account" and enter your Twitch details in.
4. Enter Stream Key (Which you can obtain after your application is accepted).

5. When you want to start streaming just click "Start Streaming".
6. If you are struggling to stay live this may mean you are trying to stream at a high quality that you physically can't do on your device. Try to lower these settings by going to "Settings" then "Video" and then lower the quality of your output setting. If you need a guide follow the Twitch Encoder HERE
