I play Yu-gi-oh. Currently running with a Cyberse deck but I haven't really had a chance to play it against anyone IRL yet. Online it does well though. gonna bring it with me to NAGC in august and maybe get a couple games in.

In terms of cardgames: i pilot the following
pokemon: extended ex water (using dive ball to seek out my big beaters like kyurem ex), extended Steel (mainly employing meta steeleix, scisor, and magearna EX, alongside solgaleo GX, and registeel for anti ex strategy).
In yugioh: I mainly run dark world storm and superquant magnus turbo. both aren;t really good for meta, but are rogue enough to be ...toxic.
In magic the gathering: currently piloting a modern ajani lifegain deck, a modern zombie tribal featuring amonkhet, and 2 commander decks-bolas tempo and progenitus/or jodah tokens. the latter is pretty bricky atm tho. but i do want to build sliver commander and sun quan commander becuase both decks are deliciously evil.

I do 'have' a weiss fates/stay night deck, but ive never used it.

Yugioh local joints stopped support tournaments at the pendulum era

Naughty Kitty wrote:Hmm I know Coding plays a bit of the Warhammer 40,000 table-top games in addition to the Dawn Of War PC ones. I play the Dawn Of War although the table top stuff is a bit expensive for me to "build an army" the models put out by Games Workshop do look amazing though and I've talked to a number of people whom play regularly, apparently it's still quite popular in some circles in the UK (where the game developers are based) in particular. For a game that first came out in the 80s it's held up well. I do like reading the lore and watching some of the fan stuff, it seems to capture the imagination for a lot of people.

I have some warhammer but fantasy I was told it'd be better playerwise than 40k but alas not so

Warhammer, 40k, black powder, flames of war are the main ones.

Card games? I used to play and still have tons of Magic / Warcraft cards, a couple boxes of Weiss Schwarz. Hmmm and Boss monster is pretty good.

Yup, tabletop gamer here. Love attending the UK Games Expo each year too. To name a few games I got to play recently - Atmosfear: Khufu, ROOT (my favourite character to play as is the Vagabond!), Tokyo Highway, Sonic Crash Course, Qwirkle, and Wingspan. :) Thought it was cool to see Gloomhaven appear on Steam on PC recently!

MTG!? woooah, first time I'd played was 3th Ed with Ice Age expansion, and quit after 4th Ed. ...
Still having the "Mucnchkin with board" but no one near to play it. TT__TT

I'm not sure why they would be (besides the convention being UK based). I know a lot of games get considered European so maybe that's why. I recommend most of them if you do get to check them out. Maybe they're at a board game cafe?

I used to play MTG but lost interest because it became too much about throwing money at it to win at tournaments and I can't be bothered to keep up with the trends.

I recommend checking out Board Game Geek to learn about other games, and keep track of your collections... https://boardgamegeek.com/ I've definitely needed to. Hubby and I currently own 125 tabletop games.

What's y'all's favourite tabletop game?

I'm quite fond of Love Letter, Euphoria, Machi Koro, Design Town, 6 nimmt!, and Wingspan to name a few.
