I have a little more free time on my hands now (had been burning the candle at both ends and pretty much burned myself out cos of the extra hours I had at work which is why I’ve been absent from the forums, but I’m back now) and since I’m now on a much needed holiday from work I decided I will relax by catching up on my anime backlog, visit the forums and post a bit more and right now I’m going for some nostalgia and playing final fantasy X.

Don't knock it, I know it's knackering working extra but think of the pay packet at the end of the month.

However, I'm supposed to get this month's payslip on the 23rd or 24th for July, and given that I did NO work last month, I know there'll be nowt on it, if it wasn't for the fact I start a new job with the same company next month (allegedly), I'd have resigned ages ago.

to be honest, it’s not actually that much better than my usual pay because by the time the tax man has had his slice of it, I’ve not actually made that much extra. It also affects my universal credit because the more I work the less universal credit I get.

If you have a full time job you don't need UC anyway.

I’m gonna put this in the politest way I can but you can’t tell me what I do and do not need as you don’t understand my current situation. I don’t claim universal credit because I want too, in case you haven’t noticed we’re all going through a cost of living crisis right now and claiming uc puts food on my table and petrol in my car so I can go and work my low paying job.

A few years ago, they tried to put me on universal credit, I told the DWP to shove it where the Sun doesn't shine.

Shower.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

Yeah that might be me in a bit, even though I had a bath this morning.

Just sat down from racing around.
