I have to have a long and probably highly annoying discussion with Evri about the package that was allegedly delivered and signed for last Friday, but hasn't.

I wouldn't mind but I contacted Aliexpress.com, they keep telling me to contact the courier (Evri), I did, at least 3 days ago, no response yet and probably never will be.

Why do companies insist on using these worse than useless courier companies? OK I know Evri are dirt cheap but this ain't the first time they've messed up.
