Increase in "clickbait" videos on YouTube?

Above.

There appears to be a significant increase in clickbait footage on YouTube saying certain wrestlers have passed away, yet when I Google it, there's no reports of them being deceased?

I've reported the videos for being misleading at best, but they keep appearing.

I don't beee-lieve it!

Viewer beware.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

the algorithm prefers things that outrage or shock, thus your home page is going to always have some kind of trash on it

basically those videos make youtube money, so they get pushed to the top

furthermore, clickbait has been THE algorithm mover for like a decade now
