British government going after the poorest in society... (Trigger warning)

What the hell? As a disabled, mildly Autistic late 40's adult myself, I've lived with/met more disabled people than I can count who could no more go out and work than I could put on that Pelican suit I wore at the AL con last month and take off by flapping the big wings.

I'd have expected this nonsense from the previous government, but Labour? One of the main reasons I voted for them 3 and half months ago is because they said they WOULDN'T do this.

I don't beee-lieve it!

The irony is, if it was the RIGHT kind of job, short hours, proper wage, easy to get to without relying on either actual Taxis or a Dad Taxi, I'd willingly go to work, and have had a myriad of pointless interviews over the years, mainly in the retail trade as that's where I have qualifications and experience (Granted it's nearly all Charity shops but it's still customer service is it not?) but as soon as I declare that I can't do evenings or weekends due to the support workers, they don't wanna know :rage:
