Is it just me or are Amazon incompetent?!

So I ordered Crime Boss: Rockay City on Xbox from Amazon UK, it was allegedly "delivered" on release day last Tuesday, however, the package contained anti-smoking patches and NOT an Xbox game! I was rather offended as I do not smoke, never have, never will!

I've just come off live chat with some clown called Bangs from Amazon customer support, he's told me to send the item back for a full refund, and I can't find the item! I think it's been chucked!

If they hadn't messed up and sent the wrong item in the first place, I wouldn't be in this position.

Plus I was looking forward to playing the game/getting some of the achievements.

most of my experiences with amazon have been positive

even those that weren't, amazon made right eventually

idk, maybe it's a UK thing, but where i am i've rarely had any problems other than the occasional package arriving one day later than expected

I went over to Walmart for my needs but like 6 years ago or so Amazon was how I bought online.

Once they sent me shoes that were the wrong ones. Right brand but incorrect model. It was fixed but I did have to take the wrong pair to FedEx to be returned. I didn't have to pack it though. Im pretty sure it was handled by the shoe company tho.

May not be Amazon's fault.

People have been sent bricks, packets of cereal and other things in a well reported scam where popular/expensive goods are replaced with cheap/worthless products...

...and if you have chucked a mis-delivered package away before resolving the issue, that's down to you.
