Huddersfield Comic Con- Get Your Geek On!

Post by LilMissLarBear » 29 May 2023, 12:04

Been thinking about attending this free event based in Huddersfield. Quite local to me and it would be nice to get meet others from here if anyone else is planning on attending too.

It's on 24th June, 10am-4pm and it's spread all around town.

@ Ojisama @ richarddallen1976 @ weeabooweegee sorry for the random mention lads, but I figured that you guys seem relatively close to Huddersfield I wonder if this is of any interest to you in particular? Of course, would be great to see others too :D

I would, but it'd cost me a minimum of £20 return Train fares up to Huddersfield and back from Sheffield.

We're off to Em-Con in Nottingham next Sunday though (11th), going to that mainly for Hugo "Treguard" Myatt from Knightmare (anyone old enough to remember that?)

Hmm, I do have more than the required 2 weeks notice so I might just mention it to Laura, see if it's possible.

Hey!

I'll have to check if I have any plans that day, but in the meantime I'll look into it!

Nice catch. I knew there was a Con in Huddersfield coming up. Didn't know it was free.

Had a look online. It looks similar to the "Out of this World" event held in Sheffield but we never get any celebrity guests.

It's the weekend after I get back from holiday, so It's a distinct possibility.

Watch this space.

As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

Well I spoke to Laura yesterday, she says not to book anything yet till she's looked into it properly.

I don't have the funds till I get paid from the benefits anyway and that won't be till Friday.

There's Em-Con at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena next Sunday if you fancy it? Guests include the 5th and 6th Doctors, Will Mellor, Chris Barrie, and Hugo Myatt, best known as Treguard from Knightmare.

I'm definitely going, booked event and train tickets last week.

things are looking good at the moment. #2 son says he is up for going. It will probably all come down to the weather.

Yeah whether you do or don't! :D

I would've gone up, but Laura says it's too far, especially when we went down to Notts last week.
