1. Removal of Arrowchat - The forum chat has not been fit for purpose for a long time, not working too well on mobile and lacking a number of features. For now we would suggest for chat to take it to the discord. We shall be looking at developing a longer term chatroom solution that intergrates with the forums and phone app shortly.
2. Entrance Hall becomes Welcomes & Questions - A more direct and newcomer friendly name, and makes it much clearer where to put forth questions about Animeleague in general, it's forums or it's events.
3. Removal of Conventions Forum - Going forward any questions can be put in the welcomes & Questions forum. For announcements and feedback, each con will have it's own topic in General Discussion and be updated there.
4. Removal of the Assistants - Dead scheme, not used in a long time now, we see no point in continuing with this. Sections can still run their schemes unofficially if they wish, but there is no point to have this there officially. The old assistant central forum now becomes Welcome's Staff section.
5. Shuffling around of the 8 remaining sections - General Discussion has been moved to near the top to reflect the fact it now takes on discussion about events and the fact it also contains a lot of other entertainment discussion now such as TV and sports. Graphics & Arts moves down into a new overall section for fun and hobbies.
Hope all these changes make sense. The overall idea is to streamline everything, remove what is not working, and make it more newcomer and user friendly.
