I miss conventions

Even though things are supposedly back to normal now, there still seems to be very few going on (especially around where I live in Yorkshire). I went to loads of cons in 2015-16 and I miss those days. Last one I went to was back in 2018, but I'm trying to get back into them now (hence why I'm using this forum again after 7 years of inactivity). I miss just socialising with people tbh. Here's hoping there's going to be more on next year. Also really miss Alcon. Alcon 2016 was probably the most fun I've ever had at a convention. It was wild and I fcking loved it.

Dunno where you live in Yorkshire, but...

1 in Sheffield 25th Sept.
1 in Barnsley 16th October
1 in Scarborough 27th Nov

That might be it for this year.

York, Chesterfield, and Leeds in Feb next year.

Yeah. Just found out there's also a comic con in Huddersfield on the 24th that I had no clue about. Might end up going to that.

I've got 3 coming up in the next just over a month.

Sheffield at Magna this Sunday
Barnsley on the 16th of October
Lincoln on the 22nd of October

And then possibly either Hull or Liverpool in November (I want to go to Liverpool but Hull's cheaper to get to, even with a disabled railcard, last time I looked, Sheffield to Liverpool was about 50 quid return for 2 adults)

As I recall there was supposed to be some posh Cosplay Ball up in Huddersfield last year but it got cancelled due to COVID.

So Huddersfield's this Saturday? I can't really afford 2 comic cons in the same weekend, plus it's too short notice to book an extra few hours for a trip up to 'Uddersfield with the support on Saturday.

Yeah it does seem short notice but it does look tempting not going to lie XD Its a day convention finishing at 5 so I am not sure whether to go and then get the late bus/train home
