What's your opinion on Anime memes?

So recently I've seen an abundance of videos talking about how anime memes are unfunny and "the worst memes in existence". I wanna hear your thoughts on this subject matter.

I personally enjoy anime memes, but with all the backlash surrounding them I can't help but feel it's because I have a shit sence of humour.

As someone who enjoys caption contests, it seems weird if I disliked memes.
