NHS workers thank you thread
I don't know, if there are any people who work for NHS in the forum.
But if they ever come here, I'd like to say thank you for your hard work.
(Feel free to post here as well to leave a thank you note, if you like.)

Thank you NHS folks! And thanks to everyone else doing their part too!
The irony of a successful social distancing campaign is that we all need to stick together, do your best and come to AL to socialise

I always thank the NHS workers.
My thanks is contained in the taxes taken from me by the government to put in their wage packets.
Unfortunately most of those taxes don't go to the actual worker and instead is used to prop up the bloated bureaucratic juggernaut of inefficient pencil pushing that is the modern health service.

"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."
Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918
So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.
