Not really planning on it but those forest bathing areas sound heavenly so if I were to go, I would have to go on one ov those.

Re: JAPAN!
I would love to go. I want to see Akihabara, go to some festivals, check out the cake shops, and do some stargazing. I am a little concerned about the language barrier and safety though. I have no idea when we'd go if we ever had the opportunity, but I figure there's still plenty of time for it.

Safety wise you have near to nothing to worry about! There's one area in Shinjuku that you need to be wary of but other than that you're so safe. Language wise, certainly in the main cities like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto you can get by with little Japanese. I pretty much lived on 'Sumimasen'. I think if you just learn a few key phrases you'd be fine

And also language wont be a troublesome barrier inside the most touristic areas, if no Japanese , for sure you will get help or many other tourist, or foreigners loving there.

Re: JAPAN!
I have been living i Tokyo for about three years now. While it is kind of safe don't assume you can just leave you bag open or anything. Also be super careful during the busy time on the trains. Japanese people are so used to their lives they tend not to do thing most of us consider normal, like looking both ways before you cross the street.
Over all though it is a beautiful and fascinating place to live and travel around, I'd be happy to show anyone around who comes to visit.

*lol* That's good to know. I feel like I'd be saying sumimasen a lot. XD I'm glad it's a safe place to go though.

Awesome.
I'd better brush up at some point then! I took a couple of years of Japanese, but I forgot a lot. *lol*

I've been a few times. I did my Master's research there, we went for our honey moon, and we went a few other times for leisure. My hubby and I are going to be there for 3 months this spring!
