Have you ever suffered from anxiety and/or depression?

I've been ''suffering'' from depression, for quite a few years, since I was roughly 16-17, and now I'll soon be 29. Sometimes it gets better, sometimes it gets worse, but thankfully I manage to hang in there. I thought at one point I got ''cured'' of it, after getting into a relationship with my ex, then she recently broke up with me...and now gotta deal with all those ''lovely'' feelings all again. It's not nice...and speaking to psychiatrist most of the time doesn't help. I studied psychology, and I know what I would be told. It's not gonna make me feel any less lonely or abandoned.

But again...it just comes and goes in waves...some days you feel...''normal'', sometimes you don't see a reason why to even get out of your bed. I'm sure sooner or later, I'll manage to beat this, state that I am in.

Iv had anxiety and depression since childhood I just didn't know back then it's only when I was 12-14 I started to notice them and feel like something was,seriously wrong with me. I found out what I had by researching online and was diagnosed at my doctors. I was offered medication I declined it. I started to have panic attacks and learned that was the anxiety as well. I have general anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder as well as depression and the panic attacks still. I found out thw cause of my anxiety and depression was due to my abusive father I blocked out my childhood so there is alot I don't ont remember and can't remember. I am in therapy trying to work from all my issues. I'm 25 now but I have alot to sort out.

Well I was diagnosed with depression in my mid teens, but I personally feel like it was a situational depression (I had severe constant pains in my legs up until I was aged 17 which meant I could barely walk without help)

Anxiety on the other hand i've suffered with all of my life, but I feel like i'm making good progress with it! I have panic attacks much less frequently these days, and when I do I know who I can go to for help! I know it'll probably be something that's always with me but i'm glad that it's at least getting a little more manageable

I can't really figure out if I really have a form of anxiety or not, but I've been suffering depression since I was a child. I've always hated my own existence, Not because of the mistakes I make in themselves, but the kind of mistakes I make. some of them are the reason I never have many friends or never really retain my friendships with people...

I have both and been suffering with it since a very young age. 30 years old and still trying to manage it without medicine which is hard at times

Gonna mention it when I go back to the doctors, but I doubt they can do much considering the last 3 antidepressants I tried just made me worse lol

I suffer from anxiety and depression plus Agoraphobia, BDD and possibly a few things that I haven't had diagnosed yet.
Had my mental problems for a very long time now. I can't afford proper help so I just hobble along fighting a war inside my head each day and trying not to let it win.
I've tried the few free therapy things they have available and none have worked for me, I have tried being doped up on pills, they don't work. They just make me more tired than I already am.
I won't go too much into detail. But it literally makes me afraid of going anywhere without someone I feel comfortable/safe with. I'm constantly worried something bad is going to happen.
I constantly replay scenes and conversations in my head, worrying if I said or did something wrong. I strive for acceptance from others when I can't even accept myself.
I don't see myself the way others do. All of this is extreme, not just mild. I'm either really happy, really angry or really sad. There isn't really anything in between most of the time.
