Linux compatible gaming?

None of the games on GOG.com are compatible, and there's hardly any on Steam that work without intense technical faffery.

Are there any other options?

I am aware of Google and they have Linux in North America.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Still no.

Linux gaming is learning how to use linux, going through forums, checking https://www.protondb.com/ for game compatibility and if you can't be bothered to config most things then you run https://lutris.net/ and hope.

If you don't want to learn linux then your best bet is to wait. SteamOS will eventually be released, its basically what runs on the Steam Deck.

But if you put in the work then Qemu is very good for running any game on linux.

Most(every) games on GOG that show they work on linux actually work on linux. Sometimes you do have to read the crash report file/terminal to see which dependency you're missing, install it and you're done. The reason is that linux isn't just "Standard Linux". Every distro is different and not all of them have all the dependencies that the game... depends on... and most of these dependencies can be installed directly thought lutris or wine by just clicking a button.

Which ones? The ones I want are as follows:

Wing Commander Prophecy: Gold Edition
Wing Commander 4: Price of Freedom
Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger
Rise of the Triads
Theme Hospital

Up to now I've got Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition to work, I just keep dying at the end of the first level.
