What's a good Xbox One wired or wireless controller that actually works?

I have 2 official wireless controllers, and a Razer wired one at my Parents, and none of them actually work on my Xbox One here.

If I could afford it, and Dad would let me spend the money, I'd upgrade and get a Series S or X here.

Anyway, wired or wireless controller that works? Any ideas? I've had a look on Amazon for the Razer one, can't find any I can afford, as I'm not paying £60 odd for one, nor would Dad let me.

Well last night, I somehow managed to get that wired controller I bought from Game ages ago to work! It appears to have been plugged into the wrong port! D'oh!
