In a first for the Sci-Fi franchise, the new game will be an open world survival game.

No release date or platforms confirmed yet, but commentators are speculating late in 2023, and for PS5, XBox Series X|S and PC.

This is looking like it's gonna be pretty awesome, Terminator is one of those franchises that has been important to me my whole life and the last taste of it i got was in Ghost Recon Breakpoint where there was a very short story where you had to destroy a Terminator factory.

Looks pretty good.

I'm sure this game will suck, the last good Terminator game was the Arcade game and that was years ago.. Just like the last good Terminator movie was Judgement Day in 1991 IMO.

Hmmm.... as I type this I am watching a relatively short bit of gameplay from the 2019 Terminator Resistance and it does make me think already how are the developers going to make this previous Terminator game different. Yes, the genres are slightly different- the video below is only advertised as a first person shooter where the newly announced Terminator is supposed to be survival. However, straight away from the video Im seeing aspects of survival in here already so I am very confused as to how this new game is supposed to be different. Unless maybe weapons may not be used at all in the new game.
