In the following posts are details of six games that are due for release in May 2022. Some are brand new. Some are the next in a series, and some are classics experiencing a reincarnation.

Trek to Yomi

Releasing May 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

From Devolver Digital comes a game that will appeal to all fans of classic Samurai films. The game that is based on the life of a young warrior living in feudal Japan and prides itself on it's historical accuracy. The player starts off armed with a Katana, and extra weapons are unlocked during the gameplay.

Described as a "short" game, it is expected that most players should be able to complete it in about 5 hours.

Evil Dead: The Game

Releasing May 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Long delayed but finally here. In the same vein as Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th, the game offers both co-op, PvP and single player modes. At launch there will be 4 choices of class for the survivors (Leaders, Warriors, Hunters and Supports) and 3 Demons (The Warlord, The Puppeteer and The Necromancer). Cast members from the films and TV series add their voices to enhance the soundtrack.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong

Releasing May 19 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The latest game in the Vampire: The Masquerade series, which also spawned a table top RPG version. Players choose from 3 characters (Vampires from 3 different clans) and investigate conspiracies and shootouts in Boston, and have to make some difficult choices. The characters are premade, but can be shaped by gameplay choices.

Sniper Elite 5

Releasing May 26 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

This time, in the latest of the long running series, Karl Fairburne is off to France to foil a secret Nazi project. There is extensive weapon customization, and lots of opportunities to set up the perfect shot.

My time at Sandrock.

Entering PC Early Access on May 26, Official PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch release planned for 2023.

Following a Kickstarter and Steam Wishlist campaign, Pathia Games is now following up on their successful release My Time at Portia. Like their first offering it continues to offer a fresh look at the crafting and farming sim. With building, resource gathering, dungeon crawling, and relationship building in a Desert landscape on a post apocalyptic world.

The full game will be out next year, but a teaser version will be available for PC in May.

Pac-Man Museum+

Releasing May 27 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

This new compilation includes 14 of the franchise's arcade and home console games. There are more missions than in the originals, and a customizable arcade mode where players can explore and decorate a virtual gaming arcade.

My son has started playing the Evil Dead game on PC. He is really enjoying it apart from a few annoying things.

Driving a vehicle needs a fine hand on the controls. It helps that the cars are virtually indestructible.

A major glitch is that some times when you interact with an object your character freezes and you just have to wait until you die to restart. If you are playing co-op you can ping for help from your team-mates but they can choose to ignore you.
