Did a preorder ever let you down so much that you are hesitant to do it anymore?

I don't think i've preordered anything other than main series Pokemon games, and honestly i'm really glad I haven't after seeing some of the disasters of recent years. The secondhand experience has put me off

Sacred 3

Oh my god what a pile of carp that game was!

It was like someone saw everything good with Sacred 2 and removed it from the game. Then decided to build a supposedly triple-A rated game in an engine that most mobile phone games wouldn't touch with a bargepole. Finally add a character who only has one soundbite who repeats it every time battle starts...

No, or at least not yet. I bet the time is coming though for that one preorder to go badly.

I rarely pre-order honestly - video games wise, I think the last thing I pre-ordered was Bioshock on Xbox 360 and that was mainly because I wanted the Big Daddy model that came with it. Shop gave me a bashed in box, but took it anyway. Still have the model even today. Since it's on similar lines, I've regretted backing at least one or two kickstarter projects. Most disappointing one was backing a game being made my one of my most favourite comic authors where one of the other organisers ran off with money. I've not looked at crowdfunding the same way since. :worry:
