Share your unpopular opinions regarding video games and consoles. Here are some of mine.
The Double Dragon games for original NES are not that great. It's a highly overrated series. River City Ransom is vastly superior.
Square-Enix needs to stop re-releasing the first three Dragon Warrior games (Dragon Quest) as remastered and instead just re-release them in their original 8 bit glory.
Speaking of which, gamers want too many remasters with updated graphics and sound. Gamers should be more like cinephiles, appreciating old games with EGA, VGA, 8 bit, 16 bit, and so forth graphics and dated sound just as much as cinephiles appreciate old black and white movies with dated special effects and lack of surround sound.
Final Fantasy 9 is superior to Final Fantasy 10. 10 is good, but it's not great. 9 had better characters, more enjoyable gameplay, and a more intriguing world as a whole. 10 wasn't even as good as 7 or 6.
Though the online NES and SNES switch channels aren't perfect, they are pretty great. They are much better than gamers give them credit for.
PC gamers are too snobby. I agree that at one time PC gaming excelled over console gaming. But console games have just as much variety and just as many different genres as PC games now. PC gaming isn't inherently better than consoling game. This is coming from someone who used to be a rabid PC gamer back in the day.

Mobile gaming isn't gaming. It's the equivalent of an executive toy meant to distract for a short period of time and draw focus and concentration away from something more important, allowing the mind to recover and stave off mental fatigue. However they are often mistaken for games due to the general population being so bone idle that they never stir from their midden and fool themselves into thinking such games have merit.

Final Fantasy 7 is weak in comparison to the later sequel Final Fantasy 9, by far!

I like New Horizons, but I can respect and understand your opinion. One thing I do miss is how rude the animals used to be. I miss the crankies being cranky and the snobbies being snobby. Maybe I'll make a new post about that.

By no means should anyone judge how, why, or who you play video games with. There are no limits to ways to play a game. Wanna play Dark Souls on a banana? Go for it. Wanna play Ninja Gaiden on easy mode? Go for it. Wanna spend $50 on Candy Crush? Go for it. It's YOUR entertainment, don't let other people get your goat.

There is very little need to remaster games- all it does is make retro consoles more redundant because all the remastered games are being brought on more recent consoles

im ngl i would judge anyone who played dark souls on a banana. but like, not in a bad way. i'd just be very impressed

there's absolutely nothing special about modern warfare 2 voice chat lobbies and you shouldn't think that people shouting obscentities about your mother or yelling racial slurs is somehow a pinnacle of gaming voice chat
