What game did you think you were pro at... right up until you saw what the hardcore competitive scene looked like?
I used to think I was the hottest CTR racer back in the day. I was unbeatable in my group of friends, and I had 100%+ completed on PS1. Then, the HD remake came out, and suddenly it's a completely different scene. Online play is humbling to say the least. As it is, I haven't even touched the game in weeks since the skill gap is so ridiculous.

It's always CoD. I play through the campaign on highest difficulty, think I'm shit hot. Play a multiplayer game and get absolutely wtfpwnd.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

I can beat all my local friends at fighting games, but does that mean I'm good at them? Online matchmaking says no!

i found the same especially with Super Street Fighter IV. Some of the people who play that online are absolute animals.
