So smash will have fighters announced, and hopefully some info on how ACNH year 2 will pan out

Definitely be something for zelda35, so maybe a collection like mario all stars and some BotW2 news?

I'd say there will be a bit of a tease for Pokemon news (that will get it's own direct next month) regarding the next releases, maybe diamond/pearl/platinum remakes and let's go Ho-oh and Lugia

im not major convinced that we’re going to get a Pokémon announcement today just because they’re focusing on the anniversary and I think they’re gonna make game announcements in line with that and not shove it into the direct. Would love some snap gameplay though

Smash and ACNH is a given, I’m really hoping for botw 2 and/or Metroid prime 4

Uuuuugh, disappointed by this direct...

Only two Zelda announcements on its anniversary

I found most of it a bit dull, but I'm not a mega nintendo fan. I did like the look of that Miitopia though

I think a lot of it was just exactly what was expected and no big surprises, not to mention that the news many were looking forward to was MIA (BotW2 probably the biggest disappointment)

We got a smash character
Zelda remake (and no news on BOTW)
Mario items for ACNH, but no other news
Sqenix releasing a spiritual successor to octopath
A duck load of pc to switch ports
A couple of really old games getting remasters, Famicom detective club could be interesting

Oh and Splatoon 3 was the big reveal. Yawn. I was hoping for a inkling based single player adventure game

Honestly I’m really excited?

• The Mario items for ACNH look way cooler than past installations - we can literally teleport across the island now!
  
• HD remake of the Zelda game that suffered because of buggy controls, aka the game that needed it the most
  
• Even though they didn’t give news about botw2 yet, they confirmed we’ll get news later this year which is still promising imo and shows they’re not rushing it
  
• Splatoon 3
  
• Xenoblade getting more recognition in smash
  
• Other fun games being ported to switch, I’m especially excited for miitopia as I always wanted it
  
• the new Mario golf looks like an elaborate so bad it’s good shitpost and I love that
  

Given Pokémon has its own news next week, I’m pretty happy with this direct, they covered most of the other IPs, and showed some fun ports too. The only thing I’m upset about is the lack of Metroid representation. People are mad about Zelda but at least we have SSHD and botw2 news coming this year, Metroid anniversary seems to be being ignored
