Realistically, this probably doesn't need it's own thread, but I think it's cute enough to earn one! Have you played this starter to the PS5?  :)

actually, this was the first game on my mind. so far, nothing else makes the DualSense flex its new features harder than this. the only problem is that it quickly exposes the controller's biggest con, the mediocre battery life

Oh really? How long does it typically last?

Don't believe the shit-stirers claiming it's as short as 2 hours but you'll be lucky to get more than 5 hours playing only this. you can weaken the rumble and the trigger resistance or completely disable them though

Yeh I found the controllers last less now. My PS4 controller used to last most of the day but I think it is taking into account the sound, vibrations and the fact the PS5 has a built in microphone

to be fair, that's just this game. no other game pushes the controller features as aggressively and you can get over 10 hours playing anything else. I do wish they added a bigger battery though. the controller does get its own firmware updates so they can improve the controller's features that way

It's nice that the options are there

yeah. they're pretty cool features but with this game, the controller is almost never idle. just walking about gives you footstep feedback constantly. after about 4.5 hours, my battery went from full to just one bar left, so maybe about 6 hours with the rumble and triggers on full power. not sure exactly how much reducing them affects the battery life though
