I'm enjoying the PS5 Upgrades for current games. I am waiting for Soulstorm which is coming out in April :)

Tbh there are one or two PS4 games I'd love to playthrough on PS5 Ghost of Tsushima being the main one. The graphics were already breathtaking I can't wait to see what it looks like on PS5
they didn't really improve the graphics, they just increased the framerate cap to 60fps

Loading times are far better though!

Pff.. I really should get around to pre-ordering that thing, then waiting for it to be in stock again..

At the moment that is being delayed because there is a shortage on parts. Most likely due to everyone getting more electronics than ever because there is nothing else to do :P

Aye, I know... Figured I'd wait a few months before I even consider pre-ordering, and get the launch-bugs sorted as well.. but maybe I should just get around to it soon... :)

I dont like to buy new gen consoles. They are over priced and under tested. I learned that when I was a very small child and got a sega that caught fire... in the first 3 hours of use.

Also, whats up with this one? did that add backwards compatibility or not?

The load times for Ghost of Tsushima were insane anyway, they had to nerf them and players didn't have time to read the tips on the load screens. Even then the load times were like 10-15 seconds

As far as I know there are very few titles that are backwards compatible.

All except like 9 PS4 games and all of the 30-40 PS2 on PS4 games

Thats whats annoying about new consoles. You have to buy all new copies either physical or digital because the system itself turns out not to be backwards compatible.

Software level is expensive and some games get lost in licensing limbo. back in the days, Sony and Nintendo had the perfect solution for the previous generation but the Switch changed that on Nintendo's end while Sony's original PS3 model almost saw them spiral out of business with crippling losses between 2007-2010, that's probably why they're so hesitant with a purely software Emulation method

IIRC, like 98% of the PS4 library is playable on the PS5.

that's kind of a myth. there's always going to be issues regardless of when you get a console. it's always about dodging the rare faulty units
