This game is definitely worth playing, its at the top of my Wishlist on steam i just don't have time atm for any new games now that I'm back playing wow lol. I've seen nothing but great reviews for it and the gameplay looks really really fun, Jim Sterling who hates everything has named it one of his top 3 games of all time.

Hades is a high quality game with great perfection. Not only beautiful 2D graphics, but also the gameplay is intelligently arranged to avoid being bored for players

I've not played it, but I have played the other games the developers have put out (Bastion, Transistor and Pyre) and I'll say that you REALLY cannot go wrong with their games. They're all absolutely fantastic.

These types of games thrive on replayability. I liken Hades to games like Children of Morta which never get boring no matter how many runs to you do, the narrative and gameplay keep you engrossed and coming back for more.

I used my £10 epic game store coupon on this to get it for just over £5. Absolute bargain and I'm really really enjoying the game so far. It's looking like it could be the best game purchase decision I've ever made

A roguelike is essentially a dungeon crawler but with permadeath. When you die everything resets to square 1. But afaik Hades is more of a Rogue-Lite where you keep some progress like you do in Dead Cells or Rogue Legacy as opposed to losing ALL your progress.

The genre gets it's name from the 1980's game Rogue

Ohh I see, i'll probably suck at it I get frustrated with permadeath :P
