Amnesia the dark descent
RE7

I have Amnesia already and played a bit and pussied out XD Will be funny to try again for Halloween I guess

I'd more reccomend RE7 with a VR helmet then.

And it's not available for sale but I'd recommend the old Polybius arcade machine.

Now there were only a few of these around and nobody is quite sure if they exist or not. How I came to acquire mine is an odd tale this old man I met in a pub on a dark and stormy night... I wont bore you all with it.

Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube is a great spooky game.
The Silent Hill games, Resident Evil are two great franchises of games that will certainly give you a good jump scare from time to time :)

Any specific recommendations for Resident Evil? :) or just whatever game I could get a hold of?

They're all worth playing I'd suggest 7 and the remakes of 2 & 3

They're all pretty good with 2 caveats.

RE5 AFAIK isn't a bad game, but it does stray from the formula alot. Its a decent game but it's just lacking the proper RE feel and fomula. They leaned a lot more into the action formulat that RE4 had while letting the horror take more of a back seat rather than RE4's nice balance of cheesy action and RE horror. So your YYMV depending on what you want out of it.

RE6 is a bit of a total disaster IMO. Its alright to play but it's barely resident evil. They went full on action with it, even in Leon's campaign which is supposed to be the traditional spooky one. The gameplay is pretty decent and will done but the rest of the game suffered hard. I would only get RE6 if it was on a very deep sale.

Other than those two three series is really solid. My top picks are 4 and Code: Veronica

I guess Dead by Daylight is a spooky game, I have only watched it being played but I can imagine it's quite tense and could give you a case of anxiety while playing lol

Number 2 is good but I think they ruined number 3 with micro-transactions.

Gave Mad Father a go a few days ago, great call @GraceMellody! I mean... I'm only an hour in but I am loving the story! Very spooky indeed and I wasn't expecting it to be one giant puzzle either!

Giraffe Town

That's all that needs saying for that game.

Also, for an interesting spooky series.

Check out D, D2 and Enemy Unknown.

Im not 100% sure on how available they are since theyre REALLY obscure. But its definitely a series worth looking up.

Ahhh man that giraffe looks sus... If you would even call it a giraffe, looks part giraffe part human to me XD. Enemy Unknown kind of rings a bell to me will have to double check that one.
