Ok, heres the run down... I'm not the best with scary games so there is nothing more funny to other people than giving spooky game recommendations for others to try.

So... Go ahead, hit me with your fave horror games, lads.

PS: If anyone recommends Doki Doki Literature Club they get a special place in hell and a whack in the head with an imaginary (and socially distanced) club.

What? Doki Doki Literature Club isn't even a scary game, its just a visual novel/dating sim with no choices...

Amnesia the dark descent
RE7
"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."

Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918

So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.

And Bad Santa RL

Also... I played Darkwood recently which has a slow burn creep factor.

Half-Life Alyx is a bit spooky at places because the devs decided that a flashlight should not operate by common sense, but rather by game triggers.

System Shock 2 for a classic horror experience.

Its the predecessor to Bioshock.

Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube is a great spooky game.
The Silent Hill games, Resident Evil are two great franchises of games that will certainly give you a good jump scare from time to time :)
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
