Okay here's another random quiz type thing from me, this time it's about video game classes and roles and which you would say you are.
So the question is would you say you are a Tank, a Healer or a DPS?

isn't this an online only question and further a question that focuses on battle?
none of these things is my answer
if you aren't talking specifically online my answer is still none of these things, I typically change out which role I do.
However, if this is about preference then it's a Hybrid of a Tank/DPS, probably just called a Tank in the end.

This is more about what you would say you are in real life if life suddenly became an RPG

Definitely none of those, in that case. Real life isn't so simplistic that it could be classified with just those if it were to become a RPG

There's the Controller too, why leave that one out? Controller would be the one I'd fall into

Guess it isn't typical.
A controller uses their ability to change the outcome of a battle with buffs/ debuffs etc. Basically they don't focus on agro or healing, they might heal or create agro. But they basically are all about controlling, such as using paralyze on the right enemy, etc. Not DPS, TANK, or Healer focused, even misleading the enemy to the tank even the tank doesn't produce as much agro as say the Healer or the DPS character. Therefore, ideally keeping the battle in favor of their allies
But MMO's typically concentrate on creating the three arch types you mentioned

I was not aware of that, i think that's what my dad plays as then in WoW

An anime Log Horizon if you know of it has the main character as an Enchanter, he's a Controller type. Which is based on an online RPG.

I've heard of it but I've never actually watched it, I've heard it was what everyone loved before SAO was made

Isekai is my favourite kind of anime and I love SAO, will always have a special place for it but Log horizon was great. Loved the whole concept behind the food and how they extended that into other avenues. <- that's the least spoilery way I could think to write it haha.
In terms of DPS, Tank, Healer, is hard to say for me cus I'm not a huge fan of working with people in MMO's, if I could solo everything I would.
So usually I'll go something with some self healing but also high health/armour using an "outlast them" strategy...if it can even be called a strategy haha
