Need more singleplayer games with epic stories... Multiplayer seems to be taking over a bit to much these days.

I'm also gunna mention that Assassins Creed has an incredible story that mixes historical events with fiction. Each game has a great individual plot and the over arcing story is original and engrossing.

CoD MoW 2 is rather terrible story line wise.

as it was mentioned in another thread i'll put it here.

Alan Wake has an amazing story not sure why it didn't come to mind before.

The last game to truly impress me with story was Bravely Second: End Layer. It had some nice elements to the story.
(Octopath's story was pretty great as well)

Since I am in PC master race the titles are uninspiring lately way too many too good exclusives for consoles :( so yeah last great story and I am really picky if it comes to that was Nier Automata it gave me the same "what should I do now" effect the Witcher gave me after I finished it and I don't get this often. Tho to get the full picture you have to read through a lot of in-game notes. And prior to that and TW3? Morrowind most likely and Darrowshire questline in WoW
