Favourite Video Game Story Line?

Post by Nishizono Shinji » 30 Apr 2019, 12:15

What game in your opinion has the best story line?
For me it's either Final Fantasy Vi or Mass Effect. The story for final fantasy vi was original and constantly had me wanting to know what was gunna happen next and had me caring about the fate of each character. The initial Mass Effect trilogy story in my opinion was just epic, the ending was a little weak but everything up to that point was gripping and very intelligently put together across three games and the effort put into the codex was just amazing. BioWare are on par with Square in terms of great story telling.

Honourable mentions go to Dragon Age, Tell Tales Walking Dead and Life is Strange.

good call on the elder scrolls games, although I always get so lost in side quests I forget what the main story is lol

very true it is one of the best things about skyrim the fact you can just explore the world at will without being forced to play a linear story

I'm that weird person that loves the Xenogears storyline despite it being horrendously overly complicated and complex.

Bioshock games have amazing storylines, though was to impressed by Bioshock 2 with it's story.. However Bioshock 1 and Infinite did an amazing job.... Also The Last of Us was amazing for it's story.

Oblivion and Skyrim and Diablo 3 reaper of souls....

Loved the stories in Fallout 3 and new vegas....

Life is Strange... and the Telltale Walking Dead series.

Not so much storyline but the Lore in the Dark Souls games are brilliant.

Dear Esther, beyond eyes, Murdered Soul Suspect, LA Noire, Gears of War series and Brothers A Tale of Two Sons....

Just to name....a few, but so many more... this doesn't even scratch the surface.

I'd highly recommend each of the games i've listed, if you haven't played them.

I have over 500 games for xbox, though not played them all yet... Not sure how many i have for playstation lol I have 57 games on steam and i have old PC and Playstation games... If to round up my entire collection over every console i own... easily over 1000 if not 2000 games.

I might be a little addicted and been gaming since i was 6.
