I avoid burn out by doing anything but playing Video Games. In the past years I have taken up: cycling, autocross racing, reading more, and just learning to chill and relax without having to do something.

I a never burn out persay playing the game get tiresome when not progressing. Never really burn when watching anime then sometimes feel a little down when I finish a really good series.

I've taken a short break from gaming the past couple of evenings and have been watching anime instead :) Thinking I'll return to SAO: Fatal Bullet this evening or tomorrow though but I find anime or YouTube for an evening or two is a good way to avoid burning out :)

This is pretty solid advice :) I'll game in the evening for say 2-3 days solid then I'll switch to watching anime or do something completely different :) I also fit in my gym time before I get home so that helps to keep me going too :)

At the moment 3 times a week but looking to get it back up to 5 days with 2 days rest. So goes as such:

Monday: Gym
Tuesday: Gym
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Gym
Friday: Gym
Saturday: Gym
Sunday: Rest

I was using the above routine for nearly 2 years but got out of rhythm when we entered January of this year and I've not had chance to get back in to it with job changes etc but hoping to in the next month or so :)

That it does! My partner and I went or a long country walk yesterday with some friends - wasn't the best weather but was still thoroughly enjoyable :)

Thank you! :) It was quite a lot of effort and work in the beginning but I've actually come to really enjoy going! :D I rotate through the different muscle groups to give my body chance to recover in those areas too. I always start with a 5km run to warm up, loosen and to keep on top of my CV and then rotate through arms, legs and ab routines, allowing at least 2 days between each group of muscles so they recover a little :) It's works really well for me and means I can keep up a good pace without feeling too achey! :)

I find it hard to go back to a game once I'm burnt out but I think a lot of it is also the quality of game I'm playing too.

Played Anthem on release for a week straight in the evenings but got bored.
I've since bought Zelda: BotW and have been playing it for about 4 weeks, only on weekends as I like to binge anime during the week.

I don't find that I get bored of anime so much as I'll usually binge a 12 ep season every night so I get to watch something different every day.
I try to mix it up between subs and dubs too though which I think helps as they are stimulating in different ways.
