Nu-uh, Kalos and Alola were the worst regions -

I'm a little underwhelmed but know I'll still enjoy it.

Pros
-Love the backgrounds, they are very detailed and I'm digging the English architecture inspiration. Does this mean there will be Greggs and Sprinkles in the towns? :awesome:
-gfx look nice

Cons
-Feels very safe, staying in their comfort zone of random battles, fixed camera. linear progression etc.

What I wanted
-Full camera control
-A open world that we can explore like Breath of the Wild
-pokemon just wandering around - like when your hunting for animals in Breath of the Wild
-no random battles - be more like Chrono Trigger where you walk up to enemies and then the turn based combat starts in real time.

What it looks like we're getting
-Pokemon handheld with hd gfx

I just feel that Pokemon has so much more potential but is being chained down by tradition and the need to follow a 20ish year old formula. :scizor:

I'm really not sold on the starters though, and like SDB, I was hoping for a more open world, the map looks extremely linear, and pokemon on the overworld screen rather than random encounters. Being able to avoid getting into battles in Let's Go is a god send (yes I know repels exist, but I'd rather just be able to see what pokemon are around to avoid them)
