I do like the switch- it means I can play my game either on the big screen or console now

Man I hope that the transition to the Switch can revitalize things though. Haven't gotten a good mainline since gen 5. I really hope this isn't more garbage like XY/ORAS/SM.

I liked ORAS, but I feel you. X/Y and I can't finish, S/M have a bajillion cutscenes, although a half decent story with some GRIMDARK moments, and ORAS is literally R/S but with more features. I loved playing R/S/E as a kid and still enjoyed it souped up, but it lacked a lot that could have made it phenomenal.
