They should make a Sonic game that plays like Sunset Overdrive. They could just replace all the guns with sonic spin dash moves. If you took the human character out and replaced it with sonic, those superhuman abilities would make much more sense. You grind on rails like Sonic and go fast like sonic.

I hope not, the franchise has changed so much that making a SA3 *now* just wouldn't feel the same!

You're probably right. I wonder what Sega have planned now though for the Sonic Franchise?

Or maybe they'll come up with something better, hopefully maybe.

When they have something, they'll quickly announce it to us at Sonic speed

If they made it themselves it'd probably be hot garbage.

If they contracted the development to a decent third party dev that actually cares about the project and understands why people liked the originals, it could be good.

See: Streets of Rage 4, Wonderboy, Sonic Mania

I haven't played since Generations/Sonic Mania. I do feel the franchise has lost it's edge. But, obviously I'm still a fan cause *SCREAMS IN CHILDHOOD*

To be fair, there's only been one main game since Mania - Forces which came out a few months later.
