I was breeding two Japanese Pokemon instead of breeding different languages

That makes the shiny chance 1/1300 something, with differing language and shiny charm it's 1/512

I actually never knew the language things what

it's called the masuda method (after one of the pokemon designers who came up with it)

basically it was to encourage even more trading between the GTS especially for foreign languages!

Yeah so for best odds you actually need a foreign ditto and just a pokemon of your choice to breed

I'm trying to spirittomb in the game. I've been catching everything in g in sheild. I swear moltres just flew everywhere about dudny want ti get cought. Had to go to one of the islands in the fog....lol

I'm just trying to catch then all now. Finally got spirittomb and regigigas. Took a lot to get the last but I survived.

I need the pink coral pokemon though it's ghost like from tur pictures I've seen.
