The controllers were hard wired and they were thick telephone ones.
Telephone as in curly?
It definitely sounds like it was a dedicated Pong clone as Lloydiboy said, the details you've provided so far can be used to pretty easily eliminate most of the standard home consoles of gens 1-2.
Do you remember what color it was? Was it purchased in the US?
It was a dedicated console, right? As in, it only had one built-in game that could be played on it, rather than having swappable game cards.
Well it was ago, I could be picturing it wrong. If it helps it had switiches on the console, that changed how long the lines were and how fast the dot moved. The controllers set neatly in the console. Couldn't see the wires when it was put away properly. I couldn't say what it looked like probably a radio, but those would have been bigger.
My first game console was bought for me and my sister at the age of maybe 5 or 6 and was the Sega Master System (the one that had Alex the Kidd preloaded ). Taking that in to consideration, about 23-24 years That was my introduction to the World of video games and the passion definitely stemmed and grew from there
I've been gaming for about 30 years, one of the first games i played was Prince of Persia on the Amstrad and a really fun game called Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Oh you had the amstrad as well...Not met anyone else that played on one.
I think I started around 2001 when I started playing korean MMOs. I had a bootleg NES before that, but I wouldn't really call that gaming. It was just something to do that was more interesting than doing nothing. In like 98 I started pirating floppies for my DOS machine, but that also wasn't really gaming cause trolling on IRC was more fun.

Could you recommend some Korean MMOs?

I've been playing video games roughly since I was 8 soooo about 17 years. I started off with PC educational games like the ones Humongous Entertainment put out as well as Carmen Sandiego. When I was 13, I got a GBA and started playing Pokemon and Sonic among a few other titles. A few years later I got a DS and picked up a few more titles. When I graduated high school in 2012, I got a 3ds and entered the realm of Fire Emblem and Legend of Zelda <3 and for my 24th birthday, I got a Nintendo Switch with Sonic Mania. Octopath Traveler, Hollow Knight, Breath of the Wild, Stardew Valley, Sonic Forces and Let's Go Eevee. I love my Switch. I also have a ton of Visual Novels on Steam!
