SWAT 4 - Elite Force

So i'm sure many of you won't remember this one but SWAT 4 is a game from 2005 made by Irrational Games and published by Sierra Entertainment in which you play as a SWAT officer and lead a team on a variety of missions from arresting a serial killer to taking down an entire crime syndicate.

Now why am I suddenly bringing your attention to this game you may ask, well recently some dedicated fans made a mod to bring this game into the modern day by fixing glitches, upgrading the graphics, improving the AI, adding cut content, adding more equipment and finally adding multiplayer to the main campaign which was originally intended but never implimented.

I have been testing this mod over the past few days and it really does improve the game a lot, i used to think it was amazing when i was a kid but with the improvements to the AI it's even better, suspects are now smart and will attempt to hide or destroy evidence rather than just leaving it in the open, if you don't pick up their weapons they may attempt to pick them back up and attack you when your back is turned and so much more.

If anyone ever played the original game let me know and tell me what your experience with it was and what your favourite moment was?

Here's the link to the mod for anyone who wants it: https://www.moddb.com/mods/swat-elite-force

SWAT 4 was honestly a favorite at LAN parties growing up, and I loved every mission, even though half the time we'd end up shooting a hostage or shooting each other...

But that's all part of the fun, it doesn't force you to play a certain way so you can do silly things like shooting a hostage or 2 or shooting each other. I'm thinking this might be a fun game to play with AL at some point and see how well we can actually deal with some of the missions.

I'm assuming the multiplayer doesn't require Hamachi/LogMeIn? That'd be grand.

It requires some sort of way to bypass the old Gamespy serverers, not necessarily Hamachi
