What Really Grinds Your Gears- Entertainment Version

Image

We’ve all got things that really grind our gears when it comes to everyday life. So here’s a thread, where you can rant about what really grinds your gears in the entertainment world.

It could be ridiculous cliffhangers.
It could be series cancellations.
It could be ‘what the hell is this music?’
It could be a celebrity that annoys you.
It can even be, ‘why did I waste the last hour and a half watching that rubbish film.’

Feel free to share them here!

When the main actor and actress (or whoever is playing the lead roles), have absolutely no chemistry in a romance film and it really shows and it makes everything feel really awkward and cringey like... *cough cough* 50 shades. It ruins the entire movie and plot for me if you can tell there's bad tension between them

Oh definitely. It just doesn't sit right.

Me? Personally I can't stand reality tv shows. Documentaries are fine, as they interesting, but I just think its a pointless medium, shows like I'm a Celebrity, Big Brother etc... No offence to people who enjoy these shows, I just don't want to waste my time watching celebrities or members of the public in stupid situations like Big Brother. Not exactly entertaining to me.

ah me either. I just admit though, I did like watching Don't Tell The Bridge because of the whole
bride: 'i want a traditional wedding'
groom: 'ayyy we going to Ibiza lads!'

kinda had that funny aspect to me when they completely go against what their bride wants and the fact that *no one* planned their wedding beforehand so they both knew? xD but i find reality tv kinda boring and cringey, especially love island bleh

a Female Protagonist with 2 love interests annoys me. The Selection by Kiera Cass is a perfect example of this. I enjoy it for the 1st book but expected a different main drama for The Elite and The One because of how far into the competition America is.

Another good one. I get the whole romance build up thing, but why add another potential love interest. I hate that as well. As if the onscreen couple need anymore obstacles. I suppose their idea is to create more suspense, but its just annoying.

I haven't seen Don't Tell The Bride advertised, but never really watched. But glad I'm not the only one that dislikes that general 'reality tv.'

One thing that has been grinding on my nerves lately, is the celebrity culture as a whole. But I will keep my opinion to myself on that one, because I'll be here all day :haha:

"They can still fix it before the launch"
- Any game studio fanboy 2 weeks before game release.

Especially now with New World lauch looming on the Horizon and their poor animation and assets. No mate, what you see is what you get they are not gonna revamp animations in a month.

True that.

Also, they show you the game on the advert you think brill! Then caption, 'Not actual game footage.' Really? Then why show me this if it's not like that.

Especially when they don't end up with the person I want them to end up with  I seem to always like the second romantic lead that never gets chosen lol

True, or they leave it hanging and then cancel the series

Too true. I tend to find a lot of things will come out at once, and then there'll be periods of nothing at all. :haha:

When series just end without wrapping things up or lead you to believe there's going to be another season but never happen

Oh man yeah we've been struggling with this one. Want to watch but feel a bit over-saturated with it all!

Hey yes! Don't get me started on that one.
